The Dissemination and Outreach (WP12) actions play a fundamental role in building a solid and reliable ecosystem to achieve a strong academic-public-industrial research network with the capacity of providing the scientific basis for Trustworthy AI.
To accomplish this goal, two main communication strategies have been set:
- Establishing communication channels and materials, and guaranteeing the effectiveness of communication efforts among project partners.
- Raising awareness of the project and promoting its findings to various audiences, including groups beyond the project’s own community (in particular regular citizens), and measures for public/societal engagement.
A solid Scientific Publication Strategy and the organization of internal/external Workshops, Conferences, and a TAILOR Summer School are the means for implementing these strategies.
In the European context, TAILOR is one tile of a broader puzzle including the set of the networks of excellence found under the ICT-48 topic of Horizon 2020 aiming at reducing the fragmentation of AI research in Europe, boosting the research capacity and creating a critical mass of research excellence and collaboration potential. These networks are connected through a coordination and support action (VISION) and link to the all European ecosystem of initiatives such as the AI on demand platform, its follow up projects, European associations like CLAIRE and EurAI, and link the AI-Robotics private and public partnership.
The TAILOR Dissemination and Outreach action is aligned with the overall EU strategy in creating a solid and well organized structure to push the excellence in research, the industrial adoption of AI, the awareness in policy makers and on the general public.
