Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Warwick
This project studies rating systems with multiple objectives, where users are matched to items in order to satisfy several desirable properties. In particular, it looks beyond classical Pareto efficiency, modelling and studying allocations that satisfy fairness, diversity and reliability. This project will bring together the expertise of the applicant, Dr. Paolo Turrini (University of Warwick), in game theory and algorithms, with the expertise of the host, Professor Ann Nowé (Vrije Universiteit Brussels), in multi-agent learning and multi-objective decision making. The project, which will develop through a three months research visit at the AI Lab of the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, will initiate important research on a timely challenge and will include PhD student co-supervision, joint grant applications and follow up long-term research collaborations.
